The DUPLAST S.p.A. is a limited company. The Duraccio family is at the head of this company, a family that is present in the services and in the manufactured products enterprise world. Regarding the manufactured products area, it has started its activity with the Brothers Duraccio Glasssworks. Then, in 1962, the VE.BA.D. joint-stock company was created: it was involved in the area of the glass containers production. In 1965 the same company added to its operative field the plastic containers moulding.

In 1992 the Duplast S.p.A. was established with a starting capital of £. 21.000.000, then brought to £. 195.000.000 and now to Euro 624.000,00.

The company has realised a modern plant in Gioia del Colle to improve technologically the packaging production for foodstuff industry.

The company has got in Gioia del Colle covered zones for 6.000 square metres and pertinent open zones for 20.000 square metres. Widening in the covered zones are expected.

The DUPLAST S.p.A. commercial structure is managed by Mr. Maurizio Duraccio. He directly deals with the big customers, while for the remaining customers has recourse to different sale nets.

The production experience evolution was dictated by the diversification. The first production concerned the plastic covering for the glass containers. Then containers for the agricultural products harvest were produced. Afterwards the production of bottle crates was added because of the mineral water and fizzy drinks area. Later the company decided to produce milk containers (fresh and UHT milk) and packaging accessorie for the cream industry (dispensers and bungs). The diversification went on with the production of sofa feet and at the end of flower stands and plant containers.
